About Antyx
Our History
Antyx was established on 1 January 2010 through the merger of two pioneering Calgary organizations: All Nations Theatre and Urban Youth Worx. All Nations Theatre had been engaging youth in participatory theatre projects since 1992, creating spaces where young people could explore issues that mattered to them through performance. Urban Youth Worx, founded in 1998, focused on developing arts-based community development projects across Calgary. The consolidation of these two organizations created powerful new opportunities to engage youth and communities in using the arts to explore critical issues and drive positive social change.
