The end of The Film Lab’s 10-week cinematography program was a pizza party event held at Cardel Rec South. This program, designed to immerse youth from the community in the art of filmmaking and SEL components, ended after eleven sessions with a pizza party and the recording of a movie scene.
The Film Lab Experience
Over the course of eleven weeks, participants in The Film Lab dug into various aspects of cinematography, from scriptwriting and storyboarding to shooting and editing. The youth had the opportunity to explore their creativity, learn technical skills, and collaborate on projects. Final Scene Recording: Lights, Camera, Action!
The highlight of the celebration was the recording of a final movie scene. This was a chance for the young filmmakers to showcase the skills they had developed throughout the program. Set up at Cardel Rec South, the scene was a collaborative effort, with each participant playing a crucial role, whether behind the camera, in front of it, or managing the set. The excitement was real as the scene unfolded, reflecting the hard work, creativity, and dedication of the entire group.
