We have begun our new Winter Cycle at The Central Library and Genesis Centre! In Weeks 1
and 2 we get to know one another through fun ice-breaker games and mini art activities.
We made some chilly penguin art, talked about how we stay warm in the winter, and how we could
help those around us who may be less fortunate.
In this program participants will:
Create Art – Through various mediums (painting, drawing, sculpture, and more), youth✨
will engage in hands-on activities that allow them to express their feelings, experiences, and
ideas visually.
Discuss Social-Emotional Topics – Each session will include guided discussions around💬
topics such as self-esteem, empathy, mindfulness, resilience, and emotional regulation. These
conversations help build important life skills and foster a sense of connection and
understanding.
Build Connections – By sharing their artwork and reflections, participants will connect🌱
with peers in a safe and supportive space. This program encourages personal growth,
confidence, and emotional well-being.
Let’s create, reflect, and grow together!
